camera frustration….
I’ve had my Nikon D3000 for a few months now. I really like it but since I’m not an expert photographer, I have no idea how to really use it outside of the auto mode. And I have no money for extra lenses so I just have to use the 18-55mm that was sold with it. I did buy a UV filter and a polarized filter. I am not sure I can tell the difference between taking pictures with and without them though. I mainly got them because I read that it was better to have a filter on your lens to protect it from scratches. I keep taking pictures but it just seems like maybe I’m not a natural photographer. I wish I was though because it’s something that I really enjoy doing. So if anyone has a D3000 and can give me any tips/suggestions, please do….
And speaking of photography, I want some input from mommy bloggers about sharing pictures of my kids on my website. I have been wary about posting pics of my kids because I don’t want people stealing them or linking to them without my permission. So any advice anyone has on that would be greatly appreciated.
Ok, well I have supper to make and laundry to finish so I’m gonna get off of this computer for awhile. Hope you all have a great night!

welcome back sunshine, where have you been?
Did I tell you how crazy the weather is here? Last week our temps were in the hi 60s low 70s. When we went to the zoo Saturday, it was around 72. Then Sunday, we had a cold front move in and it dropped to like 32 degrees and was raining/sleeting/snowing! None of it stuck to anything though because of all of the warm weather we have had. Our weather here in MS is definitely odd. It’s back in the 70s today and the sun is out. It’s so nice outside, well, aside from the fact that it’s still muddy from all of the rain. But I’m glad that it’s sunny and warm not cloudy and cold.
Even though the weather was still kind of blah on Sunday, we took the kids and bought them some goldfish. Trey always loves the fish aquariums at the museum so I thought we’d get him a few little cheap fish. I am glad we only paid like $.38 for them because yesterday, he decided he wanted to try to take a couple of them out. I had no idea what he had done with them and I don’t really think he did either lol. I finally found the 2 that were missing in the filter. They were still alive and didn’t look like they were hurt. But I’m thinking that he had one of them out of the water for a little too long because it doesn’t look to lively. The other one I found in the filter is swimming around fine. The other one..eh..he’s kind of floating along and tends to go to the top a lot. So yeah, doesn’t look like that one is gonna make it. I don’t think Trey will even notice and besides that, we can just go and get another one. I did take the time to explain to him that he can’t take them out because they have to stay in the water to breathe. So hopefully he listened to me. If not, then I will have to put the tank where he can’t reach it. So far today, he hasn’t tried to get any of them out.
Ok, I’m gonna go now so I can find some Excedrin to take for my sinus headache….ahh…The joys of spring lol
