Christmas randomness
I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Mine was pretty good. I had a great time with my family. It seems like I’ve been busy since last Saturday (the 20th) . Rhiannon’s 8th birthday was on the 20th . We had a party at our house and I figured that since it was so close to Christmas that it would just be mostly family here. But there were about 5 girls from school that she invited that showed up. A friend of mine brought her little girl here. I think in all, there were about 6 or 7 girls here. I am glad that there weren’t more kids here because they were so loud lol. Then later on that night our family had a little Christmas party. It was fun and there was really good food there. On Christmas Day, my kids got up at 7 am. I didn’t get up until around 8. I would have slept later, but I knew that my mom was going to cook breakfast so I decided to get up. The kids loved what Santa brought them. Trey got a Vsmile Pocket and has hardly put it down :D. Will got me just about everything I had on my list . We don’t spend a lot on each other at Christmas. We’d much rather get our kids and the rest of our family stuff. But he bought me some perfume, some makeup, and a bath set (I love those!). I got him Stargate on Blu-ray, a new pair of jeans, and renewed his subscription to Game Informer. Those were all things he’d asked for.
We had Christmas dinner at my aunt’s around 2 or so. All of the food was really great, especially my sister’s Poppy Seed Chicken. My kids like it too, so i am going to have to get the recipe from her. Will doesn’t like it so I guess he’ll just have to eat something else when I make it.
Trey has a cold and has been running a fever. I’ve been alternating Children’s Motrin and Tylenol . It seems to help. He gets so aggravated though because his nose is stuffy. I am hoping that he feels better soon. He hasn’t been eating a whole lot, but he is getting plenty of liquids.
Ok, well I need to get started taking my Christmas decorations down. It seems like I just put them up yesterday…
Any one wanna send me some Christmas spirit?
I think I have finally got all of the kids Christmas presents (well I think Trey may get one more from us). I have even wrapped several. I just haven’t been able to get in the Christmas mood this year. I guess it’s because we’ve had a little financial difficulty lately because of Will not getting as many hours as he usually does. But I am thankful that we have a roof over our head and food to eat. God takes care of us and for that I am very grateful.
Rhiannon’s birthday is Saturday (she’ll be 8!) and she’s going to have a birthday party. She invited some friends from school, but it’ll probably just be my family because everyone is so busy this time of year. But I’m sure she’ll get nice gifts and I think she’ll love what Will and I got her. Since she doesn’t read my blog, I think I can say what it is. We got her a nice little digital camera. She’s been wanting one for awhile now. We got one at Wal-mart the day after Thanksgiving for a really good price. I think she’ll like it. I’ll have a couple of months to save up for Jake’s birthday..he’ll be 12. Wow..I feel old.
It amazes me how well Trey is talking. I mean he’s 3 and a half, but still. He picks up things so quickly. He has learned to suck up too :D. His favorite thing to tell me to butter me up is “You so purdy” and “I love you sooo much!”. And yes, it works everytime :)
