Oh no she didn’t….

Ok, I’m sure most of you have heard about the woman in California who gave birth to octuplets. She now has 14 children all together, she’s single, and has NO job. It has been shown that she gets state assistance and her mother has been helping her out. I cannot believe the audacity of octomom. She argued with her mother on camera accusing her of being “inflexible”. What? Her mother has helped her out more than most parents would. Now, I am prolife, I don’t think any of the babies should have been aborted. But she should have never implanted so many. I don’t care if she thought they all wouldn’t “take”. She knew that there was a small possibility they would. IVF is a very controversial subject anyway, but I don’t think a single mother without a job should do it. She acts as if it is only her business, but it’s not. When taxpayers are having to help take care of those children, it’s their business too.
I really think she did all of this for attention. I’m sure she will get movie deals and book deals and she probably won’t ever have to work. I mean anyway, how would she afford to work? Childcare is very expensive and she has 14 kids she’d have to put in daycare.
Ok, back to the focus of my post…. How does she expect her parents to act? It is not their responsibility to raise kids that she chose to have. It sounds like Ms. Suleman needs to grow up and realize that she is the one who is responsible for her children. Not her parents and certainly not the taxpayers.

My cousin had her baby around 2:30 yesterday.  They are both doing well.  I sent her a text message earlier and asked how she was feeling and she said she was in some pain but that they were giving her pain meds.  I am guessing they may get to come home tomorrow.  I want to see the new arrival, but I may wait a few days because I know that everyone else is going to want to see him too.  I know how hard it is to get some alone time with immediate family when there’s a new baby.  I know it’s all exciting, but some people just have no consideration for others.  So, I think I’ll just text her when she gets home and tell her to let me know when would be a good time for me to come see her and the baby.  My aunt posted pictures on facebook, so I did get to see him.  He’s so cute!I’m not sure who he looks like right now though lol.

Speaking of babies, my baby (well he’s not really a baby anymore, he’s 3) has started singing “Old McDonald had to fart”.  I’ve told him over and over again that it’s <i>farm</a>.  But ever since he got a laugh out of saying “fart”, he keeps singing it like that.  He is so silly, if he can get someone to laugh, he’s just going to keep on doing it. And he is such a boy, because you know they always think anything having to do with farting is funny.  My husband is 29 and he still thinks it’s funny :D .

Jake is doing pretty well in school.  He had a D on his report card (the one they got after Christmas break) and by the time he got his progress report, he had brought it up to a C.  I had to ground him though and told him if he didn’t bring it up on his progress report, he wouldn’t be able to go anywhere or play video games.  I guess it worked.

Rhiannon made Principal’s list (all A’s) on her report card.  She is such a perfectionist and she doesn’t even like makign a B.  I have told her that a B is still a good grade but she doesn’t want to hear it.  I think I may have a little overachiever on my hands lol.

I will post some pictures as soon as I can get a decent connection (meaning I’ll probably go to my mom’s to upload some lol)…I have a satellite connection so if anyone has ever had satellite, you probably know what I’m talking about :) .
