How many hours of sleep do I really need anyway?
I have had maybe 2 hours of sleep today..maybe a little more. Trey went to bed around 7:30 last night so I was thinking “Oh good, maybe he’ll sleep until at least 6 or 7 am tomorrow”. Nope…He got up around 9:30 and decides he wants to get up and play vsmile. Will had to go to bed because he has to get up at 4 everyday to get ready for work. So I had to stay up because there’s no way I am leaving my 3 and a half year old up by himself. I am sure all you moms know and I don’t even have to say why :D . I just surfed the Internet and watched tv (yes, I can multitask like that LOL). The kid kept going until about 3 am! He finally got on the couch and said “good night, mom”. I put a blanket on him and he was asleep in like less than a minute. I couldn’t go to sleep so I decided to get up and fix Will’s lunch. I finally got sleepy around 5 and went to sleep. But I had to get up around 6 to make sure Jake and Rhiannon were getting ready for school. Jake is great about getting Rhiannon up and making sure she gets ready (she tends to want to drag around in the mornings). Now it’s just me and Trey here. I am not going to let him sleep that late though. I just hope he goes to bed at a decent hour tonight. I am glad he doesn’t stay up this late all the time because I am sure I’d be sleepwalking all the time ;D .

Why I don’t like going to podunk restaurants….
On Friday, my aunt took my parents out to eat for my mom’s birthday (it was actually on Saturday). We went to this little podunk steakhouse in the middle of nowhere. We had a fairly large party, but that doesn’t excuse the not so great service. My kids had to wait 45 minutes for chicken strips. Will and I had to wait 30 minutes for our hamburger steaks. Most every one else had ordered 9 or 12 oz steaks ( the steaks were so fatty that there wasn’t much you could eat on it) and they got theirs in like 10-15 minutes. I wasn’t really concerned about my food, I was more irritated at the fact my kids didn’t have their food. Each family had their own check (well my aunt paid for my parents)and each check had the tip added on. Will didn’t like that and I don’t blame him. Before he paid the check, he let the manager know he didn’t think that the server we had earned the tip. He did pay the tip, but I guess he just wanted to let them know he didn’t think the service was worth the tip. I think he just paid it so that my family wouldn’t say anything. We don’t plan on eating there again. It was too expensive and the service wasn’t great. Now don’t think I am insulting all waitresses/servers, I’m not. I don’t mind giving someone a good tip if they are good at their job. I don’t think it should be expected though. I would rather see restaurants pay their servers minimum wage and then the tips would just be a bonus. I also understand that it was a Friday night and they are busier than usual. But I have been to other restaurants on a busy night and gotten my food in 15 minutes and my tea glass was always full.
But I did have a great time with my family. Trey sat with my sisters and I had to bribe him with promises of playing Vsmile when we got back home :D . Before we went home, we had to go by Walmart and get groceries. I didn’t really want to go because I had worn my boots(no they aren’t cowboy boots lol) and they are really cute, but they hurt my feet if I walk in them too long. We got what we needed to get and went home. I was so ready to get those boots off my feet. I have never understood how women can wear 3 inch heels. I’d probably fall flat on my face :D .
